Uniontown police are investigating after a Monongahela woman was punched in the face following a minor vehicle accident Thursday night.

Officer Kurtis Defoor said that the crash occurred at 9:15 p.m. on East Berkeley Street when a man driving a silver Dodge Charger struck the rear of a car driven by Mary Beth Dury. Dury told police that after the collision she got out to inspect her vehicle for damage and said that the unidentified driver of the car also exited his vehicle, Defoor said.

Defoor said that Dury told police that as she was looking at her car the man punched her in the face and then left the scene in his car.

Defoor noted minor damage to the rear of Dury’s car as well as some bruising on her face.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 724-430-2929.
