The following are results from recent livestock auctions and crop sales:
Results from the Eighty Four Livestock Auction held Dec. 12 were as follows:
Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 1 to 1.50 higher with good demand. Supply included 112 slaughter cows, 10 slaughter bulls, 105 feeder cattle. All prices are per hundredweight.
Slaughter cattle
Slaughter steers: No test.
Slaughter Holstein Steers: No Test.
Slaughter Heifers: No test.
Slaughter cows: Premium whites 65 to 75 percent lean, average dressing, 77.50-79; high dressing, 89. Breakers 75 to 80 percent lean, average dressing, 73-76.50; high dressing, 77.50; low dressing, 69-72. Boners 80 to 85 percent lean, average dressing, 69-72.50; low dressing, 66. Lean 85 to 90 percent lean, average dressing, 64-68.50; high dressing, 69-71.50; low dressing, 60.50-63.
Slaughter bulls: Yield grade 1, 1,120 to 1,635 pounds, 78-81.50. Yield grade 2, 1,070 to 1,400 pounds, 67-72.
Feeder cattle
Steers: Medium and large 1, 600 to 700 pounds, 122.50; 700 to 800 pounds, 102-118.
Heifers: Medium and large 1, 300 to 500 pounds, 117.50-127.50, few fancy 132.50-134; 500 to 700 pounds, 116-124, few fancy 127.50; 800 to 900 pounds, 94-100. Medium and large 2, 300 to 500 pounds, 101-116.
Bulls: Medium and large 1, 300 to 500 pounds, 128-146; 500 to 600 pounds, 127.50-140; 600 to 700 pounds, 117-120. Medium and large 2, 300 to 400 pounds, 98; 700 to 900 pounds, 81-86.
Feeder calves
Compared to last week’s sale, Holstein bulls sold mostly steady. No. 1 Holstein bulls 90 to 120 pounds, 130-150. No. 2 Holstein bulls 90 to 130 pounds, 102.50-125. No. 3 Holstein bulls 85 to 120 pounds, 60-95. Holstein heifers: No test. Beef calves: 155 to 250 pounds, 107.50-112.50. Vealers: Utility 65 to 120 pounds, 20-40.
Slaughter hogs
Barrows and Gilts: No test
Sows: US 1-3, 300 to 400 pounds, 54-62.
Boars: 300 to 500 pounds, 24-40.
Feeder pigs: US 1-3, 30 pounds, 32.50 per head.
Slaughter sheep
Slaughter lambs: Choice 1-3, 60 to 80 pounds, 170-185. Good and choice 1-2, 40 to 60 pounds, 140-152.
Slaughter yearlings: 95 to 140 pounds, 125-160.
Slaughter ewes: Utility 1-2, 105 to 205 pounds, 71-90.
Slaughter goats

Slaughter kids: Selection 1, 37 to 40 pounds, 72.50-77.50; 51 to 55 pounds, 85-105; 75 to 95 pounds, 125-130; 112 pounds, 130 per hundredweight. Selection 2, 40 to 65 pounds, 52.50-67.50. Selection 3, 35 pounds, 40-42.50.
