Sparkle, the Christmas star, is announcing the 2011 Give-A-Christmas campaign has surpassed its goal. The total is now $44,988.73 with hours still left before the deadline at noon today.

“Thank you all so much for all your efforts,” said Sparkle. “We’re so happy that everyone pulled together to help us reach our goal of raising $40,000 for the Salvation Army. Every donation is important but we couldn’t have made this happen without the generosity of the Albert Gallatin School District, which dropped off a donation of $17,173.73. We so impressed and so grateful for all they have done.”
