Marlene P. Radosevich Tawney
Marlene P. (Radosevich) Tawney, 62 of Masontown, Pa. was called too early to join the angels in Heaven on Monday December 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 7, 1949 in Uniontown, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her mother Garnet M. (Franks) Radosevich, and 2 brothers, Stephen M. and Francis X. Radosevich.
Surviving are her loving husband Michael J. Tawney Sr.; her father Joseph J. Radosevich and wife Millie of Phenix City, Ala.; 2 children, Michele (Tawney) Faris of Point Marion, Pa., and Michael J. Tawney Jr. and wife Melissa and 2 grandchildren, Madison and Ian of Charleston, S.C., 2 sisters: Deborah A. (Radosevich) Smodic and Mike Gordan of Uniontown, Pa., and Anna Maria (Radosevich) Fisher of Richmond, Va.; 2 brothers: Joseph (Pete) Radosevich and wife Jeanie of Fairchance, Pa., and Thomas A. Radosevich and wife Vickie of Surry, Va.; her lifelong friend, Susie Golden of Waynesburg, Pa., and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marlene was the retired owner of Marlene’s Beauty Shop in Masontown, Pa. where she absolutely loved performing countless “miracles” with scissors and comb. Most recently she thoroughly enjoyed being retired and having time to spend with family, espec-ially her children and grandchildren. Marlene had the biggest heart, was a fabulous cook and no one visited without enjoying a great meal and fun times. She will be greatly missed by many.
Friends will be received in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street Masontown, today (Thursday) until 1 p.m., the Hour of Service with Pastor Sharyn Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
