Betty Grace Dice Hartman
Betty Grace Dice Hartman, 79, of Haydentown, Pa., died at home with her loving family by her side and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 22, 2011.
Betty was b o r n o n February 14, 1932 in Fairchance, Pa., the daughter of Lloyd D. Dice and Marie Cramer Dice.
Betty was a member of the Haydentown Christian Church for 48 years where she served on the Board, was a Sunday School teacher, and the Song Leader.
She was also a member of the Haydentown Community Center.
Her hobbies included crocheting and #1 Pirates fan.
She enjoyed Sunday dinners and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Clifford L. Hartman; grandchildren, Jason D. and Chelsey Hartman and brothers, Raymond Dice and Harry “Pete” Dice.
Surviving are her loving family: her children, Cindy L. Rankin and husband Mark, Jacob D. ‘J.D.’ Hartman and wife Mary, Linda M. Smith and husband Larry, William ‘Billy’ Hartman and wife Andrea all of Haydentown and Sherri E. Wrona and husband Brian of Fairchance, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Crystal L. Rankin, Jeffrey D. Hartman C h a d Rankin, J u s t i n D. Hartman, Travis Rankin, Shilo D. Smith, Emily Hartman, Morgan Wrona, Logan Wrona; great grandchildren: Kayla Keener and Malayna Rankin; special little ones: Chuckie and Cameron Widner and Alexis; sisters and brother: Mildred Dice, Jean Anderson and Fred Dice all of Fairchance, Pa.; sisters-in-laws: Elizabeth Kauffman, Mary Hartman and Nancy Dice; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, December 28, 2011 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Jim Handschumaker officiating.
Interment will follow in Miller-Sisler Cemetery, Haydentown, Pa.
