Daniel J. Mullen Sr.
Daniel J. Mullen Sr., age 79, of Republic, Pa., passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2011.
He was born October 24, 1932 in Republic, Pa., a son of the late Owen Mullen and Catherine McGuire Mullen.
Daniel was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Republic where he served as an usher for many years.
He was retired from the Baltimore Life Insurance Co.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army, member of Republic American Legion Post 590 and the Republic Lion’s Club, AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood and the Uniontown V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Mullen.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie Novak Mullen; his son, Daniel J. Mullen Jr., and wife, Randi, of Republic, grandsons, Daniel Mullen III and Dalton Mullen, his cousin, Kathryn Kelly, of Republic, and nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Friends will be received in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, One Legion Street, Republic, on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, until 9:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, with Rev. Fr. William McGuirk, as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
