Brownsville Borough passes zero increase budget

Brownsville Borough Council Wednesday passed a 2012 budget with no increase in taxes, but a dissenting councilman said police should be cut in favor of paving roads.

James Lawver cast the only dissenting vote on the budget that passed 4-1. Council members John Hosler and Teresa Hosler were not present.

Following the meeting Councilman Charlie Perkins said he agreed that roads need to be paved, but not at the expense of the police department.
