Mrs. Blanche (Bianca Cantini) Liptock

Mrs. Blanche Eleanor Liptock passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the age of 99 in the Golden Living Center, Uniontown, Pa.

Mrs. Liptock was born on October 15, 1912 in Footedale, Pa., the daughter of the late Guiseppie and Genoveffa (Philleppi) Cantini. She was the last surviving member of the Cantini Family.

Blanche graduated from German Township High School, Class of 1932, and worked at the George J. Plava Elementary School Cafeteria for 25 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Leckrone, Pa.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Steven Liptock, whom she married March 31, 1940; sisters, Emma Croftcheck and Nellie Bozek; two brothers, Quentin and Abraham Cantini; and son-in-law, Samuel Oktela.

She is survived by her daughters: Mary Louise (Charles) Yackmack, Gloria Oktela both of Adah, Pa.; grandsons: Kevin Yackmack of Aliquippa, Pa., Eric (Michelle) Yackmack of Jefferson, Pa., Brandon (Rhoda) Oktela of Canonsburg, Pa.; her two great granddaughters whom she adored, Brianna and Gianna Yackmack; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center of Uniontown for such loving care and kindness to Blanche.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH FUNERAL HOME today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, December 29, until 10:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Leckrone, with Father John M. Butler as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Parish Wake today at 3 p.m.

Parish Rosary today at 3:30.
