Terry admitted to practice law
Ellen Ruth Terry was recently sworn in to practice law by Fayette County Judge Ralph C. Warman.
Terry, the fourth generation of her family to admitted to practice law, has a bachelor of arts degree from Hunter College of City University of New York. She received her juris doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in New York City.
Terry is the 10th member of her family to be admitted to practice law. Her great-grandfather, Robert D. Warman, started practicing in the county in 1898, and when Terry started law school classes, she had some of his notes in her possession.
Terry’s grandparents, Myron and Ruth Warman, were also attorneys in Uniontown and were known for their community involvement. Her parents, attorneys James D. Terry and Mary Warman Terry, run the Warman Terry Law Offices in Uniontown. Judge Ralph Warman is her uncle.
