Uniontown Hospital seeks zoning variance for intern housing
Uniontown Hospital is seeking two zoning variances for a house for interns even though it is already using the property for that purpose.
The hospital applied for a use variance for the house at 349 W. Berkeley St., which is zoned for use as a single family home only, and for a setback variance for an outdoor fire escape from the third floor.
The Uniontown zoning hearing board scheduled a hearing on the application for 5:15 p.m. Thursday in City Hall.
