Norwin 60, Albert Gallatin 26 – The Lady Knights scored all the points they needed in the first 16 minutes as they cruised to a Section 1-AAAA home victory. Jena Denek led Norwin (6-3, 8-9) with 14 points.

Courtney Harris was the top scorer for the Lady Colonials (1-8, 1-16) with 11 points.

Jefferson-Morgan 50, Bentworth 48 – The Rockets handed the Bearcats their first Section 3-A loss of the season when Travis Taylor scored the final of his team-high 16 points on two foul shots with four seconds remaining.

The Rockets improve to 3-3 in the section and 4-13 overall, while Bentworth slips to 6-1 in section play and 7-10 overall.

Jefferson-Morgan led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter, but trailed at the half, 31-21. The Rockets sliced into Bentworth’s lead with a 15-11 third quarter, and won the game on the strength of a 14-6 fourth quarter.

The Rockets’ Zach Berkstresser was also in double digits with 11 points.

Jon Barker led Bentworth with a game-high 21 points.
