Violet Valerie (Cease) King
Violet Valerie (Cease) King, 85, of Smock, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 in Latrobe Hospital. She was born Wednesday, April 29, 1925 in M u t u a l, UnityTownship, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania beloved daughter of Jacob Cease and Catherine (Pochinsky) Cease.
Violet was a member of Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church in Smock.
She was a retired employee of Hormell Hardware.
Violet had attended Hurst High School in Mount Pleasant and Uniontown High School.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Eleanor Cease, Josephine Howland, Genevieve Petrock; three brothers, Rudolph Cease, Edward Cease, Walter Cease; and grandson, Norman Peretti.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: daughters, Valerie Peretti and husband Norman, Deborah DeSellems all of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and her son, David King of Smock; a grandson, Patrick Jyachosky and wife, Starsha; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Connor Jyachosky; and a great-granddaughter, Sydney Jyachosky; sister, Ida Holland of Smock; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pennsylvania on Monday, February 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 8, 2011 until 9:30 a.m. when brief Prayers will be said in the Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, Smock, Pennsylvania with Reverend Father Robert Lubic as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Saint Hedwig Church Cemetery, Smock.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Parish Rosary Service will follow.
