Uniontown man jailed following raid
A local man faces multiple charges after Uniontown Police Department and the Fayette County Drug Task Force confiscated a gun and drugs from his residence this morning.
Arlin Ford, 36, of Uniontown was charged before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros with possession of a prohibited firearm and possession with intent to deliver.
In addition to the felony charges, Ford was also charged with two counts of possession and a single count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Uniontown police Chief Jason A. Cox said city police and task force detectives served a search warrant on the Searight Avenue home early Tuesday.
Cox said a handgun, crack cocaine and marijuana were confiscated.
Fayette County District Attorney Jack R. Heneks Jr. said Tuesday’s successful raid is another example of what can result from having a working relationship between police departments and the task force.
“I certainly applaud the Uniontown Police Department for their successful effort in investigating and executing the search warrant and confiscating the large amount of drugs and handgun that they seized,” Heneks said.
