Man sustains serious injuries in crash
A Chestnut Ridge man sustained major injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route 166 in Redstone Township.
State police identified the driver as 48-year-old James A. Adams, and said the accident occurred Sunday around 7:15 p.m.
Trooper Douglas E. Urey indicated that Adams lost control of his Chevrolet Astra going around a curve.
Adams’ vehicle went onto the eastern berm of the road, and traveled there for about 90 feet, police said. Then, the vehicle veered across the road and its front portion hit a dirt embankment on the west side of the road, police said.
The car ultimately rolled over, police said. No condition report for Adams was available.
Adams was cited for speeding, police said.
