Police seek rock throwers

State police are looking for two men who threw a rock at the windshield of a volunteer fireman on his way to assist at a crash scene in Redstone Township on Sunday.

John Robert Torok, 31,the assistant fire chief of the Allison 1 department, was on his way to a crash in his 1998 GMC Sierra with his red lights flashing when the rock hit his windshield, cracking it, police said.

Police said Torok was driving on Route 166 and Main Street in Republic around 7:30 p.m. at the time.

The suspects were described as two white men in their 20s, each about 5 feet, 10 inches, wearing Carhartt brand jackets.
