Donna Mary Eva “Mom” Martin Leber
Donna Mary Eva Martin Leber, “Mom”, age 96 years, of Markleysburg, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the Henry Clay Villa with her loving Family by her side.
Donna was b o r n o n Monday, February 8, 1915 the daughter of Harry Martin and Sadie Morrison Martin.
She and her husband Roy established/operated Leber’s Log Cabins for many years.
Known as a local Avon Lady, “Mom” also worked as a Cook at the Lone Star Restaurant in her later years.
Her hobbies included flea markets, shopping, traveling.
Her family was first and foremost in her life.
Donna was a member of the Mountain Citizens Action Group, Charter Member of the Mountain Fellowship Center and a member of the Union Chapel Church.
Donna was the last surviving member of her immediate Family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Roy Leber; the following brothers and sisters, John, James, Thomas, Pauline Hayden, Annabelle Pepper; a son-in-law, Harry Burnworth; and also a special friend, Arnold Fike.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Burnworth, Barbara Marker and husband Albert, and a son, Roy Barry Leber, all of Markleysburg; nine grandchildren: Donna Joy Burd and husband Dan, Dane Burnworth and wife Sharon, Cindy Carey and husband Cubby, Tim Burnworth and wife Wendy, Jenny Wagner, Matthew Leber and his wife Davonne, Christina Orr and her husband Jeff, Melissa Ravenscraft and her husband Bobby, and Tamara Marker; fifteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, George “Bud” Pepper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD F U N E R A L H O M E, FARMINGTON, Pennsylvania today (Sunday, February 20, 2011) from Noon until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. David Herring and the Rev. Dale Rexrode officiating.
Interment will follow in Sansom Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation was also held on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.
