Attorney seeking Democratic nod for Washington County Commissioner

An Ellsworth attorney who is serving as the president of the Bentworth school board has announced he is seeking the Democratic nomination for Washington County commissioner in the May 17 municipal primary.

John M. Petrisek marks the fourth person to announce he is seeking the nomination. The others include incumbent Larry Maggi, Washington City Councilman Joe Manning and Washington County businessman Harlan Shober. Incumbent Bracken Burns, who is finishing his fourth term, has announced he will not be seeking re-election this year.
