Ronald Earle Fleming, age 71, of Deer Lake, Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania died Saturday, February 19, 2011 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born on November 2, 1939 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania the son of John Fleming and Gladys Helmick Fleming.

Upon graduating from South Union High School in 1957, he attended Waynesburg College prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Ron had a distinguished Career of nearly 50 years as a Master Electrician with the IBEW Local 5. Among the many construction projects that he contributed to build was the recent expansion of the Pittsburgh International Airport. There does not exist an electrical, electronic, or mechanical device or equipment that he did not know how to install, operate, or repair.

Ron was a member and past master of Laurel Lodge #651 F. and A.M., Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and Pittsburgh Consistory.

In 1965. Ron was married to Shirley Strawberry of Uniontown and was blessed by two wonderful children, Heather Mairghread Fleming who currently works and resides in London, England and Ronald Ian Fleming, who currently works and resides in Chicago, Illinois.

Also surviving are his one true love Shirley Fleming; a brother, Karl Fleming and his wife Suzanne of Spokane, Washington; and his sister, Susan Fleming Amonn and her husband and son Bob and Chad, Shell Beach, California.

“Ron” was one of the most generous souls on the planet and as a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle he will be sorely missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Family will receive Friends on Saturday, February, 26, 2011 in the ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH ON Dunbar Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania from 11 a.m. until Noon followed by a Memorial Service conducted by Laurel Lodge 651 F. & A.M. and a Service celebrating Ron’s life at 12:10 p.m. with Pastor Don Kephart officiating

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UPMC Mercy Hospital Burn Fund at 1400 Locus Street, Suite 6530, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
