Emergency personnel were called to the scene of a crash involving multiple injuries late Sunday night in Greene County.

Officials said at least one unidentified person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, which occurred on Greene County Hill Road outside of Carmichaels around 9 p.m.

Four other people also allegedly suffered injuries as a result of the crash, according to emergency personnel.

Initial reports were that one person was not breathing and unresponsive at the scene. Medical helicopters responded and multiple people were flown from landing zones near the crash to area hospitals, officials said.

It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash.

No other information was available as of deadline Sunday night.
