John C. “Jack” Lynch
John C. “Jack” Lynch, age 82, of Belle Vernon, passed away, Sunday, January 2, 2011. He was born August 5, 1928 in Perry Township, Belle Vernon, Pa., son of the late Clinton and Alice Lynn Lynch.
The Lynch Farm was started in 1894. Jack’s grandfather, father and eventually Jack worked all of their lives tending the farm. He was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church and the Rostraver Grange 919.
John is survived by his wife, Shirley Rodebaugh Lynch; one daughter, Beth Ann Peterson and husband, Tom of Lowber, Pa.; one son, Robert John Lynch and wife, Lottie of Belle Vernon, Pa.; five grandchildren: Sarah Peterson, Nathan, Emily, Luke, Levi Lynch; two nieces: Nancy Kovac and husband, Dan, Kimmy Kaczmarek and husband, Mike; four nephews: David Momyer, George Momyer and wife, Ginger, Bruce Momyer and wife, Stacey, Barry Momyer and wife, Barbara; one brother-in-law, Bob Rodebaugh of Lowber, Pa., many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Momyer and husband, Bob and one sister-in-law, Joan.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., Thursday 2 to 9 p.m. and on Friday until 1 p.m. the hour of service with Pastor Glenn Hart officiating.
Interment will be held in the Rehoboth Cemetery, Belle Vernon, Pa.
