Mark E. Policz
0006005392-01-1.jpg Mark E. Policz, 49, of Waynesburg, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Rt. 88 in Jefferson Township, Greene County. He was born November 5, 1961 in Waynesburg, a son of Richard and June Harshman Policz of Waynesburg.
Mr. Policz was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School.
He had worked for Allegheny Energy Service Corporation, starting at Mitchell Power Station and then at Hatfield Power Station at the time of his death.
Mr. Policz was a member of the Utility Workers Union of America, Local 102, the Moose Lodge 461, Waynesburg; ABATE of Pa. and a social member of the American Legion Post 330.
He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and stock car racing with his son.
On February 15, 1985 he married Tammy Machesky, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his parents and spouse, are two children, Devan Policz and Ben Policz both of Waynesburg; two brothers, Kevin Policz and Richard Policz II both of Waynesburg; five nieces and nephews, Payden Policz, Adam Machesky, Caleb Machesky, Jack Machesky and Bailey Machesky; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Douglas officiating.
Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
