South Union supervisors express concerns with Atlantic Broadband

1 min read

South Union Township supervisors said they are displeased with the quality of service Atlantic Broadband is offering residents and said they will request a meeting with the cable provider.

At Monday’s meeting, supervisors Rick Vernon, Robert Schiffbauer and Thomas Frankhouser said they have fielded numerous calls from residents complaining about interrupted cable service.

Vernon said Atlantic Broadband recently switched to digital cable and provided customers with a digital converter box. He said several residents, especially the elderly, have had trouble installing the converter box. Problems have also been reported with interrupted pictures and sound.

Supervisors said any residents with complaints regarding Atlantic Broadband service are asked to call the municipal building at 724-438-5480 to report the problem.

Schiffbauer said the township is compiling a list of problems and complaints that will be given to Atlantic Broadband.
