Mary Sesco Ricco
Mary Sesco Ricco, age 85 of Grindstone, Pa., died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on June 22, 1925 in Vesta No. 7, Pa., daughter of the late Charles Sesco and Sophia (Mscarko) Sesco Shwallon.
Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church- Brownsville, Pa.
She was a retired Hair-dresser and a member of the National Hairdressers Association, Member of the Rosa Garibaldi Lodge 1818, Brownsville, Pa., Center in the Woods, California, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Ricco, Brothers: Michael and Charles Sesco and Sisters: Julia Librizzi and Ann Cestari.
She is survived by three children: Mary Beth Meese and husband Lawrence of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alana Jo Stathers of Beallsville, Pa., Joseph A. Ricco Jr. and companion Valentia Elentri of Brownsville, Pa.; 9 Grand-children: Larry Meese and wife Jeanine, Kale Meese Zimprich and husband Chris, Jeffrey Meese and wife Caprice, Randy Stathers and wife Donna, Kristin Stathers and fiancee Tony Sanganetti, John Stathers and wife Crista, Chad Ricco and wife Michelle, Haley Ricco Roy,Trisha Ricco Powers and husband John; 13 Great Grandchildren: Aaron and Keaton Meese, Kincade Zimprich, Adrienne Tedesco, Zoey Nicole Meese, Aranda Stathers, David Pounds, Tristan and Ella Ricco, Luke and Allie Powers, Anna Ricco Holt and Joseph Roy; Brother John Sesco of Centerville, Pa.; Sisters: Sophie Gates of Boca Raton, Fla., Helen Mingolla of Inwood, N.Y. and Marge Orlandi of McDonald, Pa.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA today (Thursday) from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Where a panachida service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church – Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant.
Interment Lafayette Memorial Park. A parastas service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church – Brownsville, PA.
