Mt. Citizen Action Group
The Mountain Citizen Action Group will have a busy day Thursday starting with the executive meeting at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., Angie from Fresenius will discuss chronic kidney disease.
Lunch will be served at noon. A business meeting will be held at 1 p.m.
To register for lunch, call 724-329-4260 prior to 9:30 a.m. Thursdays.
The center is located on Old Dinnerbell Road, Farmington. It will be closed Jan. 17 in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.
Anniversary
Madeline and Walt Hess of Flatrock Road, Markleysburg, celebrated their wedding anniversary Jan. 5. The couple was married in 1973.

Thanks extended
The Markleysburg Salvation Army Service Unit extends thanks to all the banks, churches, groups, individuals and organizations, which made 2010 Treasures for Children a success. Appreciation is also extended to those who contributed to the Herald-Standard’s Sparkle campaign in the name of the Markelysburg Unit, which could not survive without this extra boost.
