Robert E. Layton
0006008324-01-1.jpg Robert E. Layton, 72 years, of Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania passed away F r i d a y, January 7, 2011. He was born on June 24, 1938 at Connells- ville, P e n n-sylvania the son of James H. Layton and Julia Loya Layton.
Robert was a member of Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis
He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Army and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21 in Connellsville and the American Legion Post in Dunbar, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Layton; one son, Jason Layton and his wife Danita of Vanderbilt; two grandchildren: Hannah and Jacob; two brothers: James E. Layton of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and John H. Layton and his wife Sue of Connellsville, Pennsylvania; sister, Rosalind Quinn of Connellsville; one cousin, Roy Fuller and his wife Connie of Perryopolis; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pennsylvania today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a P r a y e r Service will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis. The Rev. Father Bob Lubic will be Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pennsylvania.
Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Gold Star Post 7023 and American Legion 752 both of Perryopolis.
