1 min read

The most serious charges were withdrawn against a Lemont Furnace man accused of leading state police on a chase through North Union Township Sept. 4.

State police said Ryan P. Lavery, 29, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Wendy D. Dennis with aggravated assault, simple assault, fleeing and eluding police and drunken driving following the incident.

Both prosecutors withdrew both assault charges and the remaining charges were held for court following a preliminary hearing before Dennis this morning.
