Viola H. Blaker
Viola H. Blaker, 76, of Carmichaels, PA, formerly of Mt. Morris, died at 3:03 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Southwest Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg, PA.
She had been in her usual health and her death was unexpected.
She was born Monday, August 20, 1934 in Monongalia Co., WV, a daughter of the late Theodore Hogan and Lonal Bowers Hogan.
Mrs. Blaker enjoyed quilting, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was retired from Hatfield Power Plant, where she worked both as a Coal Tester and Tool Room attendant.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands: Mary Evelyn and (Keith) Maxey-Greenawalt of Connellsville, PA and Kathy P. and (Jeff) Millikin of Waynesburg, PA; two sons: Roger L. Phillips of Carmichaels, PA and Rodney D. and his wife (Stephanie) Phillips of Waynesburg, PA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister: Lottie Henderson of Washington, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is one sister, Anna Louise Kennedy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, January 14, 2011 in the MILLIKEN AND THROCKMORTON FH, INC. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday with Rev. Fred Tomlinson officiating.
Burial will be held in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris , Pa.
