FAYETTE COUNTY N.A.A.C.P. will hold a general membership meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging conference room, 137 N. Beeson Ave., Uniontown. NEW SALEM NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH MEETING will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the New Salem Presbyterian Church. Enter the side door entrance of church, next to funeral home.
THE FRIENDS OF THE UNIONTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY is forming a Bunco club. The first monthly session will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the meeting rooms of the Uniontown Public Library. Those present will decide on a regular date and time for future sessions. Light refreshments will be served. Bunco is an easy to learn game and potential members need not know how to play to join the group. In case of inclement weather, call the library at 724-437-1165 for the rescheduled date or visit the library’s website at www.uniontownlib.org where more information about the group can be found.
FAYETTE COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ADMINISTRATION (FCBHA) advisory board meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the FCBA office, 215 Jacob Murphy Lane, Uniontown, Conference room 1. The meetings are open to the public.
ST. JOHN ALTAR SOCIETY, Perryopolis, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the social hall.
SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA CHIEFS AND ASSISTANT CHIEFS ASSOCIATION will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the North Union Volunteer Fire Department. The Feb. 16 meeting will be held at the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department.
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN, Greenwood United Methodist Church, corner of S. Ninth and West Green streets, Connellsville, will hold its annual “Soup”er Saturday sale. Soups may be preordered by Jan. 31 by calling 724-628-9215. Soup choices are beef barley, broccoli-cheese, chicken noodle, chili, pasta fagioli, stuffed pepper, vegetable beef and wedding. Cost is $5 per quart. Pick up orders will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Feb. 5. at the side door of the church.
