Flenniken Public Library lists upcoming activities

The Flenniken Public Library, 102 East George St., Carmichaels, will be closed on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Regular hours will resume at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Library services are available 24 hours a day on the library’s website www.flenniken.org. Preschool Story Hour resumes at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 25. Toddler Time resumes at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays beginning Jan. 28.

The Library Teen Council will meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Feb. 16.

The Anime Club will meet at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 24 and Feb. 28.

“Choosing an Electricity Supplier,” presented by Dr. Dennis Buffington of Penn State University will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 26.

The Friends of Flenniken Library will meet at 11 a.m. Feb. 2 in the Blue Room. New members are welcome.

The Flenniken Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 to discuss “The Murder of Roger Ackroyd” by Agatha Christie. New members are welcome. Teen Game Day is from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 11.

Library hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
