State police are searching for a man who robbed a Greene County convenience store this morning.

Trooper James Babirad said the man entered the Waynesburg Sheetz, located at 102 School Road, at 5:40 a.m.

Babirad said the man approached counter with his hand in his jacket pocket and pointed the jacket at a female store clerk as if he had a gun. The man demanded that the clerk give him money and threatened to kill her if she didn’t comply.

Babirad said the man was described as being white with short, thin sandy brown hair and a mustache. He was about 5 feet 5 inches tall and described as being 30 to 40 years old.

The man wore a two-tone brown plaid jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes, Babirad said.
