HERALD-STANDARD RETIRED EMPLOYEES will meet at 8:30 a.m. Thursday for breakfast at Eat ‘n’ Park Restaurant, Uniontown. MASONTOWN COMMUNITY KITCHEN free meal will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the First Presbyterian Church at 102 W. Church Ave., Masontown. The meal is being sponsored by the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Church in Leckrone. They will serve their homemade pierogies, tuna salad sandwiches and coleslaw. Panera breads and desserts will also be served.
RELAY FOR LIFE, an American Cancer Society fundraiser, will sponsor a trip to Washington, D.C., on March 26. A cherry blossom cruise as well as sightseeing at various monuments are included. H & R BLOCK AND FAYETTE FRIENDS OF ANIMALS will hold a collection of animal supplies from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Uniontown Tractor Supply, Uniontown Shopping Center, Morgantown Road. Items needed include bedding, cleaning supplies, food, etc. Those who donate are entered in a drawing for a $50 off coupon toward their 2010 tax preparation fees. Three coupons will be awarded.
