Greene County gas station robbed at gunpoint

FRANKLIN TWP. – State police are investigating after a man brandishing a handgun robbed a service station in Franklin Township, Greene County, Tuesday night.

Trooper Robert Cree said the incident occurred at 9:20 p.m. at the Marathon service station.

According to police, the suspect entered the store, waived the gun at an employee and demanded money.

Police said the cashier gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and that the man then fled the business.

Police said the suspect might have absconded in a small, white car.

A detailed description of the suspect was not released.
