Anna Dursa Sellong
0006015363-01-1.jpg 0006015363-01-2.jpg Anna (Dursa) Sellong of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the Hillside M a n o r Personal Care Home, Uniontown. Anna was b o r n i n L e m o n t Furnace, Fayette County, Pennsylvania the Daughter of Joseph and Helen Dursa.
Anna was a member of Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church where she volunteered in the church kitchen making Pirohi for many years. She was also a member of the Greek Catholic Union.
Until she retired, Anna worked as a Housekeeper for Dr. Hubbard and for many other local families.
In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, John Sellong in 1976; Granddaughter, Dannett Ritz; Brothers, John Dursa, Frank Dursa and Joe Dursa; and a Sister, Margaret Sholtis.
Left to cherish her memory are her Children: Sons, Emil J. Sellong of Ligonier, Pennsylvania and William J. “Bill” Sellong and wife Margaret of Uniontown; six Grandchildren: Danny Sellong, Donnie Sellong and his wife Sonya, Emil “E. J.” Sellong, Dougie Sellong, Debbie Sellong, William “Billy” Sellong and wife Nickoleen, Theresa Harr and her husband Russ; 11 Great Grandchildren: Cassidy, Amanda, Ashley, Mindy, J e s s i c a, Justin, Morgan, Michael, Melissa, Eric and Ethan; a Great Great Grandson, Payton; a Sister, Mary Novak of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and several Nieces and Nephews.
The Family would like to thank the Staff of Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, especially Nurses Aide Pam, and Albert Gallatin Hospice Nurse Becky for their wonderful, compassionate care
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N o r t h Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 until 11 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held
A Divine Liturgy will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Saint John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 East Main Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.
Interment follows in Saint John Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, Pennsylvania.
The Parastas Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday evening at 8 p.m.
