Spinetti places 3rd at Burgettstown
Uniontown junior wrestler Nathan Spinetti finished in third place at the Burgettstown Tournament on Saturday. Spinetti placed with a win by default against Andre Ellis of Steel Valley to improve his record to 17-6.
Ellis had already wrestled five matches, and by the rules was ineligible for a sixth match.
After an 8-0 major decision over Roger Bigliotti of Burgettstown in the quarterfinals, Spinetti was pinned by Jeff Tarley of Beth-Center in 4:28.
Spinetti advanced to a third place match with a pin in 4:26 over Aaron Niemyer.
The Red Raiders’ next home match is Feb. 2 against Elizabeth Forward.
