Uniontown Hospital patients, staff cheer on Steelers

By Herald Standard Staff 1 min read

The halls of Uniontown Hospital were decked in black and gold today as staff and patients joined to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Born at 10:04 a.m. Saturday and weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces, Karalina Nicole Cook was the youngest and smallest patient rooting on the hometown team during the AFC Championship Game.

Cook, daughter of Silas Jr. and Amanda Cook of Carmichaels, was due Jan. 29 but decided to arrive a week ahead of schedule in order to watch the game with her parents.

Karalina Cook wore a Steelers bib and had a Steelers bottle and a black and gold football that played, “Here we go Steelers.”

“She’s definitely going to be a Steelers fan,” Silas Cook said.
