WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Mark S. Critz, D-Johnstown, announced Tuesday that he again will be serving on the House Armed Services Committee and the Small Business Committee in the 112th Congress. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Critz will serve on the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee and the Sea Power and Projection Forces Subcommittee.

“As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I will work to ensure that our nation’s war fighters and their families have every resource they need to meet the challenges of the 21st Century,” said Critz.

A member of the Small Business Committee, Critz will serve as ranking member (lead Democrat) on the Agriculture, Energy and Trade Subcommittee and as a member of the Contracting and Workforce Subcommittee.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and account for half of our gross domestic product and more than half of all U.S. jobs,” said Critz. “As a member of the Small Business Committee, I will work to support new and expanding small businesses, and to ensure that jobs and the economy remain a priority. As such, I’m honored to serve as the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Energy and Trade, which has oversight of important programs in western Pennsylvania and across the nation.”
