Helen Louis (Neth) Kosisky, 87, formerly of Perryopolis, Pa., died peacefully Thursday afternoon January 13, 2011 in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant, Pa. while being comforted by her loving family.

Helen was born in West Newton on October 21, 1923, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Sophia (Berggren) Neth.

She graduated from West Newton High School and attended Business School and completed several courses at Penn State University.

Helen served as the General Manager of Linden Hall, Dawson, Pa. for many years.

She was one of the founding members of the Perryopolis Historical Society and the Perryopolis Pioneer Days Celebration. Helen had a passion for volunteering her time and that of her late husband George and their children in support of these organizations. Helen continued to volunteer later in life, while living in Florida at the Ted Williams Museum and the Lions’ Club of Beverly Hills, Florida.

Her devotion and love were unconditional and never ending for her children, their families and her siblings and numerous friends.

Helen’s memories will forever remain the hearts of her loving Children: George Michael Kosisky and his wife Debra of Bear Rocks, Connie S. and her husband William E. Gadd of Fox Chapel, Stephanie and her husband Charles Henderson of Elizabethtown, Ky., Robert Paul Kosisky and his wife Nancy of Bear Rocks, Dora E. and her husband Robert Pipta of Elizabethtown, Ky.; her eight loving Grandchildren: Sara Holly Kosisky and Deborah Richards of Greenfield, Mass., Lauren Kosisky of Mt. Pleasant, Eric Gadd and his wife Lisa of Wheeling, W.Va., Jennifer Gragg and her husband Joshua of State College, Pa., Jessica Henderson of Brooklyn, N.Y., Stephen Henderson and his wife Nicole of Huston, Pa., Allyson Pipta of Louisville, Ky., Isaac Pipta of Elizabethtown, Ky.; her five Great Grandchildren: Lydia Krentz -man, Iris Kosisky-Richards, Lillian Gadd, Andrew Gadd, Benjamin Gragg; her Brothers and Sister: Phillip Neth and his wife Dolly of Manassas, Va., Caleb Neth of Columbus, Ohio and Frank Neth of Arizona, Elizabeth and her husband Warren Kulik of Belle Vernon and Sister-in-law Dee Neth of Donora.

In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her loving husband George S. Kosisky on August 11, 2003, her brother Robert Neth and sister-in-law Eleanor Neth.

In celebration of Helen’s life, a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. at LINDEN HALL, Dawson with Aaron Johnson, Pastor of Lifepointe Church, Washington, Pa. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Helen’s family suggests memorials be made to American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Ave., Suite 700, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 in her name.

A combine private inurnment service for Helen L. and George S. Kosisky will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville with full Military Honors for Mr. Kosisky accorded at the Columbarium by the U. S. Army Honor Guard.

Final arrangements for Helen have been entrusted to the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale.
