Lewis B. Kremposky
Lewis B. Kremposky, age 91, a lifelong resident of West Leisenring, Pa., died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Uniontown Hospital with his loving daughter by his side.
Born on November 21, 1919, he was the son of the late Matthew and Anna Kremposky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anna Marie (Kurutz) in 1991; a sister, Pauline; and brothers, Matt “Mitch” and John “Dewey” Kremposky.
He is survived by his Daughter, Dr. Judith Kathleen Kremposky, Ph.D. of Blairsville, Pa.; his Furry Grandson, “Beau”; and longtime cherished family friends: Mary Ann Roberts and her daughter Jessi of Belle Vernon, Pa.
Lewis was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, and was a retired Coal Miner and Steel Worker.
During World War II, he proudly served his country with the United States Army in the European Theater of Operations, 30 months in Africa and Italy. He was a 55 year life member of the American Legion Post 51, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47, member of the Catholic War Veterans, Knights of Columbus, and the Juniata and Valley Sportsman’s Clubs.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Saturday evening 7-9 p.m.; Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Monday, January 31, 2011 until 9:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 51.
The Parish Wake Service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
