Joseph M. Muzidal “TV Joe”
Joseph M. “TV Joe” Muzidal 77, Masontown, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 27, 2011.
He was born July 14, 1933 in Filbert, Pennsylvania the son of Frank Muzidal Sr. and Sophia (Zaiglin) Muzidal.
Joseph was employed with Zaiglin’s Radio & Electric Service in Masontown for 55 years, affectionately known to his friends and family as “TV Joe”.
He served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army.
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church in Leckrone, Pennsylvania; a Lifetime Member of the Fort Mason American Legion Post 423, and a Lifetime Member of the Masontown Fish and Game Club.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Muzidal and Stanley Muzidal; and sisters, Helen Boskovich and Bertha Szwed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Helen (Pokorny) Muzidal; and their sons: Steven J. Muzidal and David M. Muzidal; a brother, Frank Muzidal; sisters: Rita Sumey and JoAnn Sowinski; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 515 North M a i n Street, Masontown, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 31, 2011 until 12 Noon when the Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, with Rev. Father John M. Butler as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, S a i n t M a r y Cemetery, Leckrone, Pennsylvania where Military Honors and Rites will be accorded by the Faith-Gray-McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary, Roman Catholic Church, Post Office Box 248, Leckrone, PA 15454 or to a charity of your choice.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home this afternoon at 3 p.m.
Saint Mary’s Rosary Society will recite the Rosary in the Funeral Home today at 3:15.
