Delmar B. Dennis
Delmar B. Dennis, age 79, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away at home on Saturday, January 29, 2011.
He was born on December 23, 1931 in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania son of Clarence A. Dennis and Catherine (Heishman) Dennis.
Delmar was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Korean War;
He was a member of the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood and the B. P. O. Elks No. 370 in Uniontown.
He was the owner of Delmar Dennis Company in Hopwood.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jean Hoover Dennis; and four children: Deborah Dennis Craggs and husband James H. Craggs III of St. Augustine Florida, Jeffrey D. Dennis and his wife Holly of Uniontown, Margaret Dennis Bush and husband Leroy of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Julia Dennis Sandala and husband Richard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Dennis, Kelly Craggs, James Craggs, Dexter Dennis, Ben Dennis, Jared Sandala, Jacob Sandala; four brothers and two sisters: Gerald Dennis and his wife Betty Jean of H o p w o o d, Pennsylvania, Rosalie Christman and her husband Louie, Markleysburg, L. J. Dennis and wife Shirley of Markleysburg, Dick Dennis and his wife Lucile of Markleysburg, Linda Frantz and her husband Robert of Hopwood, Dean Dennis and wife Garnett of Markleysburg.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pennsylvania today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, February 1, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. John T. Cruikshank and the Rev. Jerry Steele officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, where General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood will conduct Military Services.
