Daniel Lee McLaughlin
Daniel Lee McLaughlin, 22, of Connellsville passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born June 13, 1989 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Daryle L. and Deborah Welc McLaughlin of Connellsville, who loved him dearly.
Dan was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 2008. He loved and played soccer since the age of 5 and had been a member of the Connellsville High School Varsity Soccer Team. Dan was working as a welder for Unity Fabrication Technologies. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, Dan will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his sister, Angela McLaughlin and her fiance’, Nicholas Mivikar and his beloved niece, Ava Mivikar all of Connellsville; his brother, Brian McLaughlin and special friend, Sara Hillegas of Connellsville; his paternal grandparents, James and Patricia McLaughlin of Connellsville and his maternal grandmother, Delores Welc of Mt. Pleasant; his maternal step grandmother, Dottie Welc of Murraysville, and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dan was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Donald Welc.
Family and friends will be received Friday, July 1, 2011 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, in the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION R.C. CHURCH, Connellsville, with Rev. Joseph Bonafed as celebrant.
A committal service will follow.
