?The Brownsville Education Association has been working under an expired contract since August 2010. The BEA is negotiating a new contract while working under the terms and conditions of the prievious contract without accepting a voluntary pay freeze. The BEA never volunteered for any pay freeze. Conflicting information was presented at a public school board meeting and printed in a story that ran in HeraldStandard.com on Friday.
