Body of missing boater found

CONFLUENCE – The body of a boater who went missing after the boat carrying him and three other people capsized on the Youghiogheny River Lake several days ago was found today.

Officials reported that Patrick Himmler, 50, of Cumberland, Md., was pronounced dead at 6:09 p.m. by Fayette County Deputy Coroner Paul Kondrla after Himmler’s body was recovered from the water.

Searchers have been looking for Himmler’s body since Saturday.

The identity of the three other boaters who were injured when the boat capsized have not been released. All were taken to hospitals for medical treatment following the accident.
