Dean M. Sargent, age 76, of Carmichaels died peacefully July 3, 2011 in his home.

Mr. Sargent was born April 20, 1935 in East Bethlehem Twp., Washington Co., the son of the late Harrison and Wilda Mathews Sargent.

On September 13, 1964, he married Norma Lillian Pinkney who died in 2010.

Mr. Sargent was a retired steel worker from J and L Aliquippa works and drove a school bus for the Carmichaels Area School District for many years.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Sargent is survived by two daughters: Carol Lynne Presock (Bob), Clarksville; Diane Lee Giles (Gary), Carmichaels; one son: Harrison Scott Sargent (Beth), Waynesburg; nine grandchildren: Keandra Day, Robert Presock, Gary Giles, Jr., Ryan Giles, Colby Giles, Colin Sargent, Zachary Sargent, Hunter Sargent and Spenser Sargent; six great-grand-children: Zade Presock, Stefan, Addison and Zander Day, Hanna and Taylor Giles.

In addition to his parents and wife, a sister, Mary Binns is deceased.

Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320 (724-966-5100), Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Reagan Fike officiating.

Interment will follow in West Land Cemetery, Centerville Boro.

Full Military Rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 400 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491, Carmichaels.
