Fayette County sheriff’s office releases monthly report
Fayette County Sheriff Gary D. Brownfield Sr. reported his office handled 246 requests for service in June, including 84 complaints and summons, 19 landlord/tenant disputes and 57 protection-from-abuse cases.
?Brownfield aid that additionally, his deputies handles15 foreclosure complaints and issued 227 gun permits.
Brownfield said that his officers served nine bench warrants during June and transported 67 prisoners a total of 4,174 miles.
He said that the sheriff’s department also provided security for the Fayette County Courthouse and the county 911 center and also spent 60 hours working in programs in the community.
Fayette deputies collected more than $20,000 in funds that were turned over to the county during the month.
