Jesse James Shaffer, age 79 of Smithfield, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

He is survived by a daughter Betsy Shaffer Robinson and husband David of Smithfield; son, Jess S. Shaffer and his wife Paula of Fairchance, Pennsylvania; granddaughters: Bobbie Jo Cooke Stitchick of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Mindi Shaffer Jerome and her husband Greg of Smithfield.

Visitation was private and under direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, Fairchance.
