A Uniontown woman waived multiple charges to court today that allege she was in possession of a large cache of heroin during a traffic stop in mid-June.

Uniontown police Officer Jamie Holland said Cindy Renee Rankin, 25, was charged June 19 with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and providing false identification to law enforcement following a traffic stop in the city.

Rankin waived the drug charges filed June 19 to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing this morning before Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros.

Holland said police received a tip that Rankin was driving into Uniontown the night of June 19 with a large amount of heroin following a drug buy in Pittsburgh.
