Ronald A. Pisano
Ronald A. Pisano, 57, of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at home with his loving family at his side.
He was born on May 30, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Ettore and Gladys (Daugherty) Pisano.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Beth Pisano; his sister, Georgia Burkholder; and mother-in-law, Mary Lou Stramat.
Ron was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church.
He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the US Army, retiring at the rank of Sergeant, having over 13 years active service followed by Army Reserve and completing his service with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in Connellsville. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood; the American Legion Post 301 in Connellsville; the Paralyzed Veterans of America in Pittsburgh and he was a former member of the North Union VFD.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Margaret Ann (Stramat) Pisano; their daughter, Amber Marie Pisano; his daughters, Jennifer Lener and Michelle Pisano; his grandchildren, Alex, Julia and David; sisters, Donna Pardee and husband Ed, Betty Matlack and husband Joseph, Jacque Pisano-Vogel and husband Charles and Bonnie Stramat and husband Charles; a brother, Ettore Pisano, Jr. and wife Inge; father-in-law, Frank J. Stramat; brothers-in-law, James Stramat and wife Stefanie, and James Burkholder and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA, today, July 14, 2011, from 7-9 p.m.; Friday, July 15, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.; and Saturday, July 16, 2011 until 9:15 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in Saint Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where Military Honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
Parish Wake Service will be held Friday at 7 p.m.
