Uniontown teens busted while breaking into Uniontown High School
?Uniontown police have filed multiple charges against three teenagers after they were caught breaking into the Uniontown Area Senior High School on Tuesday night.
Officer Jeremy Schult said the teens were each charged in Fayette County Juvenile Court with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and criminal trespassing.
Schult said the charges were filed after officers responded to the high school around 10:30?p.m. for a report of youths inside the building.
Schult said that a construction worker at the school, which is undergoing renovations, along with a custodian spotted the three teens inside the school and chased them but were only able to catch one of them before police arrived.
He noted that a burglary was reported at the school on Monday in which several tools were stolen.
Schult said that after speaking with the teen and his mother, the boy admitted to entering the school Tuesday evening through a hole in the wall where construction is under way and also provided police with information regarding the two other teens that were able to escape.
Police tracked down the teenagers and discovered that the trio had apparently worked together to commit the burglary at the school Monday.
While there were some inconsistencies in their statements, Schult’s report indicated that the teens admitted to being involved in some way in the burglary Monday as well as the apparent attempted burglary Tuesday.
