Dianne Werner Craig
Dianne Werner Craig, 68, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away July 12, 2011 at Fairfax Hospital.
Dianne was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania but grew up in Cleveland, Ohio.
She graduated from Shaw High School and was employed at Cleveland National Bank. She was a real estate secretary bookkeeper for TREE in Dale City, Va. and was a former lady member of the Elks involving herself in many social and community efforts; how-ever her greatest love was always for her family.
‘Nana’ had a special fondness and concern for her children and grandchildren. She made each of their birthdays a special day with them as the focal point. Her Christmas shopping for them always exceeded her unlimited budget. Her party planning for the 3 main summer holidays was unmatched. The neighborhood knew when the Craigs were having a party by the amount of cars in the driveway and on the street.
She is survived by her husband James and the following children, daughters: Linda (Kelly) Mentiply, Laura Belk, and son, Jimmy (Lisa); her 8 grandchildren: Nicole, Kayla and Kelly Ann Mentiply, Diana and Aaron Belk, and Alyssa, Colin, and Haley Craig; great granddaughter Amanda Mentiply; brother Rich (Carol) Werner; sisters and brothers-in-law: Joe (Barb) Craig, Dolores (Doug) Hoehn, Roberta (Bob) Zimmerman, and Veronica (Frank) Andreani; many nieces and nephews; cousins: Barb (Bill) Brunell and Mike (Diane) Betz; and special granddaughter-in-law in waiting Ann Cyr.
Visitation will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 at MOUNTCASTLE TURCH FUNERAL HOME 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. Christian Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at noon on July 18 with internment at Quantico National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
